Surbana Jurong opens new global headquarters in Jurong Innovation District
Surbana Jurong unveiled its new international central office, the Surbana Jurong Campus, in CleanTech Park inside the Jurong Innovation District. The facility was formally opened up on March 13, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong in appearance.
Sean Chiao, Group CEO of Surbana Jurong, states that the campus works as a living lab for innovating services and pressing the limits of sustainable project. “In Surbana Jurong Campus, our assorted skills team up to resolve our consumers’ most complex problems, satisfying our purpose, Actual effect, made all together.”
The development has been awarded the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Eco-friendly Mark Platinum Super Low Power and BCA-Health Promotion Board Green Mark Platinum for Healthier Workplaces for its hard work in sustainability and advertising healthier way of livings. This involves giving end-of-trip establishments, such as onsite bike shelfs and showers.
The campus was created by Surbana Jurong’s architects in collaboration with Safdie Architects to show the principle of a “campus in nature.” Formerly an underdeveloped greenfield location, the campus has been created to protect over half of its standing eco-friendly spot. Built-up green areas were changed with rooftop gardens, green interior gardens, and substantial exterior landscaping.
The campus covers 1.2 million sq ft in built-up space and can accommodate 4,000 workers and the larger group throughout 10 towers. The campus is assumed to house workers from various individuals in Singapore beneath one roof.
The 10 towers are interconnected by a pedestrian walkway and closed courtyards, enabling natural lighting and fresh air to move thru. The development features services like a 1,000-seater multipurpose location, a junior ballroom, roof balconies, a group reception, table tennis, and an upcoming fitness center facility.
