Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
Habyt has recently introduced a brand-new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the front runner place for the operator’s Habyt Flex concept, which represents a strategic growing of the business’s product offerings past long-term co-living.
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jonathan Wong signalled that the business was looking to add even more short-term living choices to its local listing. The first real estates within the Habyt Flex concept are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Residence by Habyt.
Kada at Maxwell will use a variety of spaces, including en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully installed kitchen space. Visitors can book spaces on a nightly or every week basis, with a 12-month selection even readily available.
The adaptable home lies inside a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, created by the architectural business Swan & Maclaren, was among the oldest modernist structures in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
A public tender to rent the property, now taken care of by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was launched in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA urged bidders to consider fresh way of living concepts.
SLA mentioned Bethesda’s solid focus on neighborhood building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its approach the succeeding edge. The first level is going to include 10 F&B offerings, whilst the second floor will certainly house a gym by Limitless, a wellness centre in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working area. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell gets on the 3rd floor.
“By mixing modern-day conveniences with the ageless beauty of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that surpasses traditional holiday accommodation,” adds Wong.
Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy unlimited and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness amenities, like the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot bathrooms.
Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell presents the company’s commitment to redefining versatile living in Singapore and marks its shift towards the next step of evolution for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell will start at $180 per night.
The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, that sent a monthly rental bid of $103,000, the third-highest proposal rate after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).
